What’s Next For The Mara Files

Hi everyone,

Well, we did it. This book launch has been a wild ride. I released my first two books, Mara’s Awakening and Mara’s Choice.

Find Out What's Next For The Mara Files

Thank you to everyone who supported me, left kind comments, and read my books. It means so much. It’s hard to express it in words. I’m honored to have published the first 2 books of The Mara Files.

So, now to answer the burning question… What’s next for Mara?

As you know, there’s going to be 8 books in this series. I’ll be taking a short break, and then we’ll jump right back into launching the next book in the series.

You know what? I’ll give you a sneak peek. It’s called Mara’s Scars.

That’s all you’re getting at this point, though. Keep your eyes peeled for more.

And after the whole series has been published? Well, let’s not get too hasty, but rest assured, I’ll keep writing until they pry the keyboard from my cold, dead body.

Watch this space for another Mara Files book coming your way.

Kind regards,
Leo Flynn

    • Hi! Sadly, not at the moment, but I’m in the process of giving them a major overhaul and plan to release them in paperback! Stay tuned πŸ™‚

      • Awesome! That would be great! I really think you’d reach people you normally may not if you release them in paperback. Downloads, your reader is usually the person who owns the device but a book when laid down, can catch the attention of anyone else that’s around. If they pick it up and start reading, they may want a copy for themselves. Also, with a book you don’t have to worry about a battery going dead. Books are also easier to read outside, too! Just my thoughts.

Congrats on your debut! Wishing you great success! Thank you for your reply!

  1. I’m dying to read your books! My tablet won’t charge anymore and my phone is at full capacity, leaving a permanent warning in the middle of my phone screen! Lol!! Gotta get a new phone! I did read the poems! They are quite thoughtful and heart-provoking. They resonate with me. Great writing!

      • Hi! Thank you so much!! My goal is to have a new phone in the next day or two. I also need to create a new email account as the existing one gets mostly junk. I’ll sign up as soon as I get the new account! πŸ™‚ I have a question for you – as a fellow writer, I’m curious to know, if when you create your characters, as diversified as they are, is there a part of you in each character? Conciously or unconciously in there? πŸ™‚

        • Hi, you’re welcome! That’s a good question! I think there’s a part of me in every character I create, though I don’t do it on purpose or consciously. It just happens.

          • Hi! Thank you for answering my questions! I’m intrigued by the human mind, especially the creative ones! So, you must be quite a character yourself! πŸ™‚ So, when you write, do you visualize what you’re writing and then use your imagination or take from the imagination to visualize what you’re writing? Maybe it’s a totally different process? Do you know where the story is going prior to writing it or create it as you go along? Thank you for taking the time to answer! I think you’re pretty cool!! πŸ™‚

          • Hi, a pleasure! I don’t know how to describe the way I write, I suppose the words come, I write them down, and keep going. I never edit until I’m finished. I usually outline the basic plot before writing, making it up as I write never works. It changes drastically though, outlines are never rigid.

  2. Hi Leo! Thank you for everything you shared! You taught me something very valuable that will save me a ton of time. I think the not editing until you’re finished is a great way to write! I’m always editing as I go along, rerunning over the same things numerous times. Got a new phone, so I can download your first book! This phone isn’t working right, so its going back! Next!! Lol! Either laugh or scream!! I choose to laugh!!!
