We Are Infinite – A Cosmic Dreams Poem

We're Infinite Feat Img
I cried because I didn't know what to do
I didn't know it could be true
You and I could have known each other
All along, like we destined to be with one another

Even in a completely different place
Across time and space
Though they're just illusions, I didn't know
Promise me you'll never go

The universe is infinite
So are the possibilities, nothing is definite
But… will you stand with me?
We can create a better galaxy

Through the power of our imagination
Just like the universe and its formation
Nothing is impossible, that is true
I can accept it's okay to dream, but will you?

I’ve always loved rhyming poetry, and when done well, the lyrical rhythm it gives to the words. I decided to give it a go, give it a dreamy Sci-Fi twist, and this is what I ended up with.

This is from my poetry collection, Cosmic Dreams. For more poems from this collection, see here.
